MARIO BADESCU SKINCARE LINE REVIEW

I am an avid Itsjudyslife follower and I often hear Judy talk about Mario Badescu products for her zits. As a skincare buff, I was quite interested about these products as I can really observe a noticeable improvement in Judy’s pimples. For those who are not familiar with Judy’s vlog, she actually uploads every single day so I can observe the change in the redness and size of her zits.
I was always looking online for sellers who have these skincare products and I only found one- Sephora ph. However, this ph site ships all the way from Singapore which makes arrival late.
So I was quite discouraged about this and decided not to purchase over Sephora. After a week or so, I was looking for a good cleanser at Rustans ATC when I unexpectedly bumped into Mario Badescu stall. My heart went WAHHHH! And I immediately got their drying cream which was always mentioned on the vlogs. The saleslady at the stall also handed me few sample sachets of their face wash, cleanser, moisturizer, and drying mask so I had the chance to try them all out.
After a month of using the sample products and the item I bought, I can finally make a brief review about their skincare line.
Pros
-gentle on skin
-not drying to the skin unlike other harsh skincare lines on the market
-feels so refreshing after using the products especially the facial cleanser
-dries the existing pimples overnight
-their moisturizer works wonders overnight
-minimizes size of pores
-minimizes redness
Cons
-pricey
-hard to find products
-smells bad, really bad (sulfur like) as their products usually have sulfur on its ingredients

Am I purchasing again? Definitely YES!
An addition to my holy grail skincare regimen!

Mac No Faux Pas Limited Edition Lipstick Review

This is a short review about the Mac No Faux Pas Lipstick. If you are a beauty enthusiast, you must know that limited edition lipsticks from Mac usually are available only for a few months. So, If I have the extra money, I usually spend it in buying a limited edition lippie.
What I love about this lippie aside from the product itself is its cutie container. Attached in this post is a picture of the container so you could be at awe too:) wink. The shade is bomb diggity! It is a bright fuchsia lipstick that has a matte finish which makes it very wearable in both formal and casual outs.
Pros:
-long lasting
-very pigmented
-smooth finish on the lips
-non drying
-smells good

Cons
-price (limited edition lippies are whole lot more pricey than the regular ones, but I bought it for its quality and cutie container so who would mind haha)

Primer Review: Elf Mineral Infused Primer and Face Shop Face it Velvet Primer

The key to having the best looking and long lasting makeup is choosing the best primer that would suit your skin type. As for me, these two are the most fitting for my face as they serve the two most important purposes for me: oil control and blemish prevention.
First, let me start with a review on the Elf Mineral Infused Primer.
If you are looking for an inexpensive yet quality primer, then you could never go wrong with this product. Although it does not create an oustanding finish, still your money is worth every penny for this purchase. Also, what I love about this product is that it gets down into your pores allowing your foundation to fill in the gaps, thus creating a dewy and flawless finish once you have set it with powder. Additionally, its soft texture allows you to easily cover you whole face evenly. Also, a little goes a long way as the product is so concentrated yet light on the face.
On the other hand, let me tackle on this product's cons. I could not think of any bad ticks about this product but I guess the very bottle is quite a trick as the amount of primer is I think just 1/4 of the bottle.
Face Shop Face It Velvet Primer
I have been using this primer since day 1. And my latest purchase was when I saw it in Jungceylon Mall in Phuket Thailand. It was a few pesos cheaper than its retail price in the Philippines so I grabbed one immediately. Oh how I love cheap finds!
The product come in a pump that allows me to easily control how much Product I will take from the bottle. Pumps are a big advantage as it prevents spillage. What I love about this product is it also helps in creating a flawless finish when coupled with a good foundation. Initially, when you put it on your face, you will see a visible velvet finish which is a big plus point. This product is similar to the Elf Mineral Primer when it comes to the pros except that this primer tends to get oily after about 12 hours. But I dont usually wear my makeup that long so it's a no big deal. All in all this primer is a great one.

Clarins Toning Lotion With Iris -- A Review

I have been wanting to try this new toner by Clarins since I have read a lot of great reviews about it online. Come December. Gift giving time and all. I'm so lucky I have lots of loved ones who always spoil me with high-end beauty and skin care products-my hubby on the top of the list.haha Well again, I pretended to be surprised when I received it even though it was on my wish list hahah naughty me!
I have used this toner for about two months now and with that time frame, I have observed that my biggie pores on my nose shrunk! Waaahh such a big deal for me since I've been dying to make these stubborn pores shrink for years! What is another good thing about this toner is that it is alcohol-free which allows me to feel the moment when I apply it on my face without having to feel that stinging sensation that products with alcohol usually bring me.
Another tick on my pros list is its smell. It does not smell harsh at all. Its smell is I guess closest to that aromatherapy oil I bought at ATC hahah.
Another great thing about this toner is it does not irritate my sensitive skin,as some products leave my skin reddish after lathering or putting them on my face.
Hmmm so much with the pros let me get into the cons of this product. As for me, I could not think of any other disadvantage but one-its price. Haha it costs too much for a toner. However if you really wish to tighten your pores effectively, then you should consider this as your holy grail!
Will I repurchase? Definitely YES! Wahooo! It's worth the price!

Fake VS Original Mac lipsticks

I am an avid fan of Mac cosmetics because of their amazing quality, pigmentation, and longevity. However, because of this fame in the cosmetic industry, many fly by night manufacturers have cloned their products, therefore confusing the consumers. I for one am very meticulous when it comes to scrutinizing products especially when I buy online. Initially if its too good to be true with regard to pricing, then it really is too good to be true. However, there are some sellers that retail their lipsticks at P900 which is cheaper than mall prices. This may be possible because they may have gotten the product outside the Philippines which indeed has lesser prices compared here. It is important that when you buy Mac products online, you must check on the seller's feedback and thenumber of likers or followers the seller has. Furthermore, here is a link that will elaborate on how to detect a fake Mac lippie.

SMASHBOX POP OF PINK BLUSH REVIEW

If you have a light skin tone, then this blush would be perfect for you!
I have been using this blush for years and since it hs been part if my holy grail makeup. I often top it with my Mac contour powder and the results would be very subtle yet beautiful.
What I like about this product is that it is very long lasting that even if you sweat out, the pink blush still holds on to your cheek. Also, the pigmentation is amazing! Please see attached photo for reference of the pigmentation.
All in all, I can say that this blush has been the best for me. Hmmm just dont mind the price hahaha wink wink. It retails for about P2500 hoho priceyyy much!

CLINIQUE EYESHADOW DUO REVIEW

I have been looking for the perfect everyday eyeshadow. And then I found this eyeshadow duo from Clinique. I have been using this product for years. So I am considering this as my holy grail eye makeup. Although this product is quite pricey, the quality, longevity, and pigmentation is a 10 for me. Also, another good thing about this shade that I got is that it can be used both for day and night makeup.

St.Ives Blemish Control Apricot Scrub

This product has been part of my holy grail skin care for two years. And that length of time says the quality of the product.
St.Ives is a trusted name in skin care products and when I first bought this scrub, I had few breakouts so I decided to buy the scrub that is for pimple prone skin.
The scrub has quite large beads which I like the most because I feel that my pores are cleaned from within. While some other users might not feel comfortable with having to scrub with large beads, as for me I find it very relaxing and soothing. The product also contains salicylic acid which is very effective in preventing and drying out pimples. All you have to do is to let the scrub stay for a few minutes for the active ingredients to seep into the pores for thorough cleaning. Once your face feels dry, that's the time you can already rinse your face. The only noticeable feeling about letting the product stay for a few minutes is that it dries your whole face out that you really need to put on some moisturizers after.
I use this every other day after I use Cetaphil. However, when zit days happen, I use this more often, hmmm twice a day, for that matter.

Overall thoughts:
Prevention of pimples: 5 of 5
Moisture protection: 3 of 5

Price: 5 of 5
